Hey guys I’m back again with the second part of my last post, “How to choose your next read”
So lets just jump right in!
Simply ask someone to look at your shelves and pick your next read. They can just pick one that speaks to them or you can base it off the cover or the title. Whichever way you choose to do it I’m sure your friend will pick a great read!
Ask someone to choose any letter and find a book with that letter. You can make this as easy or as complicated as you want. You can just use that letter and find it anywhere on the book, you can limit it to only finding that letter in the title or authors name, or you could even find that letter in the publishers name. You could look at the first line/word or chapter names (if the book has them). What I’m trying to say is that there is endless possibilities.
Ask someone to pick a number and count over your books until you get to the one that matches your number. You can start from the top or the bottom, you could randomize it or do every other book. Whatever you do just count out your books and read the one you land on!
Play spin the bottle. Put some of your books in a circle and get a bottle. Spin it and whichever one the bottle points to is the one you get to read!
Play hide and seek. Get a friend or children and ask them to hide some books around the house for you, once they are done have fun! the first book you find is the one you get to read. You can stop after the first one or keep going until you find all of them and read them in the order they were found. You can also do the opposite and hide your own books and get the friend (or child) to hunt them down, whichever one they bring back to you first is the one you get to read!
I hope you liked these fun ways of figuring out your next read! If you have any other ways to add to my list please feel free to tell me in the comments below! 🙂
