I bought this book in a BookOutlet haul because I had never heard of it before but the synopsis intrigued me. This book was the first book I read from that haul because it was short and the cover just called out to me. I read this book in one sitting! I really liked it, it was a nice change of pace for me and I really enjoyed it. I think the thing I liked the most was that this book was full of little puzzles that didn’t leave you hanging. They were challenging and all the answers were in the back so I could see if I got them or not. One thing that I didn’t know about this book was that it was middle grade. I don’t read much middle grade but when I do I’m always super entertained! This book has an interesting adventure that I just flew through. I even took it upon myself to look up the other two books this author has written and put them on my to-buy list. This book would have been a really good book to get me out of a reading slump if I was in one before I started it. I will have to keep this book in mind the next time I need something quick and fun!
