Hey guys! I just wanted to quickly share with you all what I plan on doing for the next year in regards to my TBR.
My stack has gotten pretty big lately, it’s at around 96 titles I think, and this is before the holidays #srynotsry π.
Anyway I usually like to keep my TBR low and I’m pretty good at it most of the time but lately I just haven’t been reading.
Normally I’m a mood reader and can only pick up titles I feel like reading at the time but I’m going to start trying something new.
This upcoming year I want to make and maintain a TBR jar so that when I finish a book all I have to do is pick out a little slip of paper to find my next read. I’m test driving it this month to see if it will even work. Hopefully it does and I can get back into a regular reading schedule!
So these were my supplies I used. I had an old pad of paper with a few sheets left so I just cut the strips of paper from that. I am using the little hearts in the corner as a draw again card that I can use whenever I don’t feel like reading a particular book I draw out. I used the little wooden dowel to roll the strips of paper into little scrolls so I don’t see what book title is on them.
This whole process took about 10 minutes to cut, write, and roll each strip of paper. Not that bad considering I usually take a whole day to decide what I want to read next when I leave it up to myself to choose.
And this is the finished product. My plan is to use the little wooden dowel to just stab one through to pick a title. Cross your fingers this works out for me!! π
I tend to just close my eyes and pick one at random on my shelves haha but I really like your idea and itβs very creative
